International Education College
The situation of recruitment of abroad students: our college has successively recruited over 3000 abroad students coming from 16 countries including U.S., Canada, Japan, Korea, Russia, France, Iran, Italy, Ukraine, Malaysia, Kirghizia, Vietnam, India, etc. Now it recruits around 300 abroad students per year.
Curriculum provision: now there are 8 language classes, 2 undergraduate classes. It adopts small class teaching, the teaching content is mainly Chinese linguistics, tourism, meanwhile, it also opens courses including Chinese history, foreign economy & trade, Chinese geography, Chinese folk art, Chinese painting and calligraphy, shadowboxing, martial art, and some others. It has linguistics, applied linguistics (direction of teaching Chinese as a second language), and two master degree stations that are course and teaching methodology (direction of teaching Chinese as a foreign language).
Teacher team: we now have 12 full-time, part-time teachers, among who there are 9 full-time teachers, 2 professors, 5 associate professors, 2 lecturers. And among them, there are 8 teachers who possess master’s degree, and 1 teacher who is studying for doctoral degree. The structure of the teachers is complete, with teachers who respectively graduated from Beijing Language University, Central China Science and Technology University, Liaoning University, Liaoning Normal University and some other well-known universities in China. These teachers have a good grasp of Chinese language, theory of Chinese culture, and they have strong knowledge foundation for history, culture and some other specialties. They are experienced, 80% of the them have ever worked in teaching Chinese language in Japan, Korea, Russia, India and some other countries, 100% of them possess Qualification Certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, which is issued by National Ministry of Education.
Time Arrangement
1. Long Term Arrangement
Spring Semester: March 1------July 5 Fall Semester: September 1------January 5
2. Short Term Arrangement
Winter Vacation January 15---February 20 Summer Vacation July 15---August 20
3. Provisional Advanced Study:
Study can start at any time; the costs are the same as those of the short program students.
Application Time:
Applications can be made between 1 and 3 months prior to the beginning of the long or short term study. Please consult the foreign affairs office for exceptions to this policy.
Enrolling Qualifications
1. Students for advanced studies and students age 16 and up who are in good health are qualified.
2. Graduates---Students of the high school level or those with similar backgrounds under 35.
3. Majors of Graduates: Chinese Language, English Language, Science of Education, Fine Arts, and Music.
4. Majors of Master’s Degree: Chinese Language, English Language, Science of Education, Fine Arts, and Music.

Electricity ---4KW/day
Insurance Fees: The students who is between 46 and 69 years old need to pay the insurance fees as 600 RMB for half a year, or 1000RMB for one year.

Enrolling time and Time Arrangements for Class
One week before the beginning of school term, see “Notice of Enrollment” for details .Be sure to let us know your arrival time (by fax or mail) so that we pick you up at the airport on time. Be sure to have passport, JW202 form, “Foreigner Health Examination Record”, “notice of enrollment “, tuition, lodging fees and other fees with you (RMB)
Time for class:
Monday - Friday
The first two lessons, 8:20--9:50 The second two lessons: 10:10--11:40
The third two lessons:13:30--15:10
Time for the students for the advanced studies is 20 hours per week and graduates 20-28 hours per week

Medium level: Chinese language, Listening and speaking, Chinese periodical, Composition
Advanced level: Chinese language, Oral Chinese, Chinese periodical, Listening, Composition
Optional Course: Martial Arts, Calligraphy, Chinese Culture, Chinese Economics and Trade
2. Graduates
Required Courses: Chinese Intensive Reading, Chinese Conversation, Chinese Listening, Oral English, Chinese audio and video comprehension course, Chinese writing, Reading of Chinese News, Chinese Culture, Outline of Chinese Linguistics, Chinese Grammar, Chinese vocabularies, Chinese Pronunciation and Characters, Ancient Chinese Language, Operation of computer, etc.
Optional Courses: Chinese Folk Culture, Selected Readings of Chinese Famous Works, History of Northeast China, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Music, Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese Cuisines, Guidance and Assistance of HSK.
Accommodation
Two room choices:
- Double room (including: refrigerator, TV, air-conditioner, telephone, and desk, closet, table lamp, toilet room), 900 RMB per person per month:
- Single room (including: air-conditioner, TV, telephone table, toilet room, refrigerator, desk lamp. writing desk, closet) 1800 RMB per person per month.
Public facilities include: kitchen, washing machine, hot water heater, commercial center, cafeteria, dining hall, internet, computer room, cable television, reading room, audio and visual room, sound room, activity room, etc.
