The 5th "Pear Blossom Cup" National Youth Opera Education and Teaching Achievement Exhibition in the Province has kicked off
On September 23rd, the first performance of the provincial exhibition of the fifth Pear Blossom Cup National Youth Opera Education and Teaching Achievement Exhibition of Pear Garden Fireworks · Liao Yun Transmission New was held at the Wenxin Garden Theater. Ran Hongtian, member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Director of the Party Committee of Liaoning Provincial Public Cultural Service Center, and Han Ning, Minister of Comprehensive Planning Department; Xie Zhonghua, Director of the Science and Technology Education Department of Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and Lei Chuanyue, a third level researcher; Liu Jiang, Vice President of Liaoning Provincial Institute of Culture and Arts; Wang Dajun, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Education Department of Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism; Our vice president Tong Yuping, along with relevant officials from the School of Drama and the affiliated art school, watched the performance together.
The provincial exhibition is hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Liaoning Province and the Liaoning Provincial Public Cultural Service Center, and organized by Shenyang Normal University, Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television, Liaoning Academy of Arts and other units. This performance is the first performance of the 5th Pear Blossom Cup National Youth Opera Education and Teaching Achievement Exhibition in the province under the theme of Pear Garden Fireworks · Liao Yun Chuan Xin. It is co starring students from the School of Drama and Arts and the Beijing Opera Performance major of our affiliated art school. Classic plays such as Beating the Drum and scolding Cao, Selling Water, Stealing the King's Tomb, Battle of Wancheng, and Top Scholar Media are staged in turn, providing the audience with a wonderful audio-visual feast.
The Pear Blossom Cup National Youth Opera Education and Teaching Achievement Exhibition is a national level opera education exhibition platform hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In May of this year, our school's selected performances Beating the Drum and cursing Cao and Deep Night were highly recognized by the judges during the on-site exhibition stage of the Pear Blossom Cup nationwide. In this provincial exhibition event, our school selected opera instrumental performances such as Farewell My Concubine, Top Scholar Medium, and Selling Water, as well as demonstration courses by key teachers such as Heavenly Maiden Scatters Flowers and Chain Set, to be included in the provincial exhibition repertoire.
It is reported that there will be a total of 5 performances in this exhibition, which will gradually land in landmark places such as Shenyang Zhongjie and Laobei City, adding color to the Liaoning cultural and tourism market during the National Day and Mid Autumn Festival holidays. From professional theaters to urban streets, this journey of youthful drama is integrating traditional opera into the city's fireworks, and passing on the torch of pear orchards from generation to generation on the land of Liaoshen.
