The conference is hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Education Working Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Department of Education, and organized by Liaoning Publishing Group, Liaoning University, and the Liaoning Publishing Workers Association. Chen Jin, former member of the Central Party History and Literature Research Institute, vice president of the Chinese Communist Party Literature Research Association and president of the Mao Zedong Thought Student Peace Research Association, president of the Chinese Mao Zedong Poetry Research Association, and researcher, is invited to give a special report.
At the meeting, Chen Jin took General Secretary Xi Jinping's advocacy of reading and learning as a starting point, pointing out that reading is an important way to shape one's character, rationality, intellect, understanding, and humanity. Mao Zedong, as a great leader of the Communist Party of China that can be encountered but cannot be sought after, had a close relationship between the formation and practice of his strategic thinking and reading.

Through examples and quotes from Mao Zedong, it demonstrates the importance of reading for Mao Zedong.
